Celebrating the joy of our King!

It has been an amazing past few months, please forgive me for not sharing with you sooner all the blessings and testimonies from our children. Christmas time is here...! We put up trees, decorated the houses, bought their first new outfit (ever!), warm pajamas, got some fun learning games and toys for Christmas and are going to have an amazing celebration later on today! There is joy, smiles and laughs flowing through the air as we prepare for today and tomorrow! Thank you to all the churches, partners and friends who made this happen for all of us.

All of the kids have been excelling in school and amazing us at their ability to defeat their past and hold on to the hope that lies in the futures. Yesterday, we got their school marks and came to know that almost half of our children are the first, second or third in their whole class out of about 80-100 other students. The very top of the top in their grades and percentages. More so, two of our girls that had to repeat the 2nd grade last year because of their past education and absence in school hold the number 1 and number 2 place in their classes out of all the other children. This in iteself is a miracle and reminds us that God is working in them and through them to raise them up. They are determined, focused and have worked so hard to make up for many lost years in their educations. Suah, their tutor has done a magnificant job on helping them in their weak areas and believing in them. Much of the credit goes her way... she's an amazing teacher and see's their futures before them.

As time passes and we approach 1 year of being together with the children it's amazing to see the tight knit between us all. We are a family and the children are confident in this as they share with their friends at school. They have a home, they have 2 families... both in which are important and appreciated as they grow and become who they were called to be. After years of waiting and fighting to help the fatherless and abandoned... we held on and today we are enjoying every laugh, tear and experience that makes it all worth it. We are honored to be a part of their lives and futures. Today, we are celebrating the joy of our King! Until next time...

Merry Christmas and have an amazing New Year!
