A new year, a renewed strength.

The kids, on the rock at Lake Tanganika. It was the first time for almost all of our children to go to the capital about an hour away from our abode in the Muramvya mountains... they loved it! We brought them to get a good and strong fitting pair of shoes for each to return to school. The ones we buy in the mountains last months and break... it was a good investment for all of us! We also took advantage of being in the city and went to the lake for a short time. Lake Tang. is one of the deepest lakes in the world with the well known Gustav the croc swimming it's waters. We all had a great time and were completely exhausted by the time we made it back home before sundown. Christmas is past, the New Years flew by and here we have ourselves on the 8th of January already having step foot into what lies ahead for us. For our children, staff and us to continue growing in the knowledge and understanding of Christ... through His grace and in His joy. For our family - adjusting, organizing and stategically planning as this year is full to the brim and The Cries of a Child is expanding and growing both here in Burundi and in the US with new partnerships and joining forces with people who are passionate about God and equiping people for His kingdom. For the last 3 years, we have pioneered our way through and built one rock at a time upon the strong foundation and vision the Lord has laid. It has been a beautiful last 3 years. As we step into this new year, our hearts have been encouraged and our minds are focused on the ministry and work ahead of us through the grace of God. Not becoming overwhlemed or discouraged, but rather taking one step forward at a time. This year, it is our hope to transition all children and staff to our children's village that is currently under construction in Bukeye. We are also believing to begin the construction of the healthcare clinic. As we move forward, we have a renewed strength and are determined as we pick things back up after this past holiday season.
Please be praying for our big family here and our TCOAC staff, that we continue to follow as the Lord leads. His Kingdom come, His will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Until next time...
