A foundation built to last...

Our construction team finished the foundation for our first children's home yesterday and surely it is a foundation built to last! A loving thank you to the Orlando House of Prayer who believes in our children and their hope for a future. Who prays for them, stands with them and is yet another piece to this beautiful puzzle within the orchestration of God.

I often look at Isai "as he has an eye for his team"... he sees their skills and the potential that carries them into their future. He sees a simple worker who gets roughly $1.22 per day and carries out a vision to teach them to lay foundations, built brick walls, plumbing and electricity. Having these learned skills they can easily raise their salary per day to $2.84... at minimum! To be honest, it takes a whole lot of patients to do on the site teaching and alot of open minds to let go of how they once saw it done... being open to a more efficient way. I am so proud of Isai and in awe as I see the living God work through him and use him to help the Burundian people have hope. Also, it's great to see his Kirundi improving as he teaches them... I guess that's one of the most effective ways to learn a language; going in cold turkey, trying your best! Hooray! The foundation is built and plumbing is laid! On to the walls!

We could sure use some extra help right now, if anyone is interested in sowing into what we are doing here. Donations can be made on our website at www.thecriesofachild.org ! Restoring a hope for the future. One village, one family, one child at a time! Until next time...
