Each new day, endless stories to be told...

Eric just returned from visiting his older sister and other extended family members. He had a great time, was a great help to them and was happy to be back. During the school holidays, which happen 3 times a year, we give our children the option and also encourage them to go visit family members back in their village. All of the families were willing to receive the kids for a short time. The children had a great time visiting friends and neighbors and are understanding in a good way that they are now part of a big family. Us, and their blood families. Many people to love them, support them and encourage a hope for their future. (Verusit is also pictured!)

Vane, Alice and Evo playing rocks... they love it!

Suah with Malaki. She loves him, he loves her... somehow it works! Suah is on staff to cook and tutor the children for school. She has a degree to be a teacher, but loves to cook as she has 15 siblings and used to care for all of them back at her house. She lives on the compound along with the Mama's, helping daily to care for and teach our children. She is amazing.

Thank you to all who have sent gifts for the children. They recently received some stuffed animals and loved them... hints: the first thing they thought of was to put them on their backs!

Myself, along with the mama's were serving the Easter feast we made to celebrate the special day of our Lord Jesus. We ate Rice, meat, peas, potatoes and had Fanta's (soda)! For some of the children if not all, I can imagine it was the first time they had a soda all to themselves! It was a good time as we all shared together our gratefulness to God for bringing us all together as a family. Simply a time to remember... Until next time...

  1. I just love hearing their stories. Keep sharing! The pic with their toys strapped to their backs is precious! P.S. Happy Birthday to Malaki! May God continue to pour blessings out in his life as he grows in spirit & in truth.
