This is it!

This is it! The houses we will be renting during Phase 1: renting a house and caring for orphans; as we begin to build the projects of orphan homes, a clinic and a trade school on our land in Bukeye! There are two homes on this compound in the center of Muramvya, just 30 minutes from our land. We originally were looking for a big house with many rooms to care for up to 16 children, unfortunately there aren't any house available this big! These 2 homes will need many repairs before they are ready to receive the precious children that have gone through much trauma and pain being amongst the orphaned and abandoned children of Burundi. We see the hand of God and know these houses have been set aside for us; they haven't been lived in for over 4 years... just sitting there desolate. Over the next few weeks we will be putting together a team to assist Isai in repairing the homes, painting them, building a fence and a driveway. This compound will be a place of hope, a place of refuge... a place where the children will have a voice. We will begin by opening one home with 1 momma and 8 children, and then shortly after the second home allowing us to care for more children. On the land in Bukeye when the first 2 orphan homes are completely build and furnished along with the cafeteria / kitchen building we will transition all of the children to their new home, a home they can call their own in The Village of Jeremiah. These children will be able to remember a place as home, a place where they will grow and flourish in the midst of being restored and given a hope through the love of the Father.

We are excited for these times with so much anticipation in our hearts. After nearly 2 years of this vision tarring we have our registration here in Burundi and can take steps forward. Yes!
