Spying out the land!

Today was a rainy cold day... perfect for searching out land! We are in the process of receiving our land from the government as we have been looking at the options set before us. We will be working in Muramvya province and choosing from the 5 communes within. Pictured below is Bukeye, a community located on the road up to Rwanda in the north of Muramvya. Bukeye borders the Kibira forest, a place that hosted many of the past rebels from the FNL. We are still "spying out the lands" as Isai would call it, and should have an idea of where will be working in the coming weeks. The first things we will be doing upon the land will be agriculture. We will plant many different crops that will assist us to feed all the children at The Center of Hope. Imagine. Children that have known the cruelty of what it is to hunger; surly they will see hunger no more. You can stand with us and be a part of giving these children a hope. You can make the difference with the smallest means making the biggest impact. Thank you all for your dedication, support and helping us to give hope to the nation of Burundi. Until next time...
