Raising up columns of righteousness.

1. Mama Agnes, Desire, Mama Asira, Malaki & Audrey, over at my house enjoying a time of growth, together. 2. 3. 4. Columns laid in cement, rebar, sand and gravel; made to last. Many times here because of tremors or minor earth quakes in the mountains, houses begin to shift, crack and fall. We were given a fine example in our current home we are renting of what it means to have a foundation that is not solid and columns that are not locked - hints, there is over 25 cracks in our home and growing! However, the situation brought forth wisdom as Isai built the foundations and columns. There are many materials items that can either make these things very strong, and or rather weak and easily broken in the midst of the shaking. If you want your home to last here, you must build in such a way.

I see a similar situation with our children as days turn to weeks, and to months and now we are approaching a year with many of them. We do our best to raise them to be like Jesus - living for the Kingdom of God as we know of the shaking to come. Now is the time, to train and raise them up as pillars or rather columns of righteousness in the midst of quite a bit of corruption, lawlessness and a continuance of tension in the country. Now is the time to teach them to stand for what is right and just even if it costs them their lives. After all, isn't that what God desires from all of us? To stand for righteousness, justice and to show mercy. Just a piece of the beauty of our God and our confidence in His character and love towards us. We have an opportunity to help see a new future for this beautiful nation; flooded with children, pure in mind and heart, teachable and humble. Now is the time. If you would like to join us in this mission, we say "come!"

It doesn't take much effort to be a part of something helping to mold the future of another, helping to change the world. It just takes a simple "yes" in the heart moved with compassion and compelled to do something, anything. We all can do something change our world, our country, our neighborhood... change lives, give hope, help another. It's not to far fetched... and also not too far from the commandment of loving your neighbor. Together, we should ask ourselves... what have I done this past week to bring hope to another. What have I given of myself that another would be greater? Until next time...
