Baby De. Short for Desire; the name that was given to him by a responsible that has cared for him since he was abandoned by his mother. Desire is 11 months old, and an amazingly calm little one. When he was 1 month old, his mother (who the town claimed to have many mental problems) walked up to an association for handicapped women, left him there and ran off. They believe she didn't understand that he was her child and was mentally retarded. All ladies working there are handicapped in different capacities and were not able to care for him. One of them took him to the government offices to see what could be done. They asked her to name him, and care for him until they could find somewhere or someone to care for him. She walks with crutches in a slow manner up and down the mountains... not able to go anywhere with the boy unless she put him on her back... which was nearly impossible. The government contacted us asking if we would be able to care for him in our families as no one has seen his mother in 10 months. We gladly received him into our big family and now he has many siblings to love him and a mama to care for him.

Really, a beautiful child I know will grow up to be buddies with our son Malaki who are but 2 months apart from one another. I look at this amazing child and hope the best for him. Truly, I am excited to see what the Lord will do in him and through him. Baby De, today has a family to call his own. Also, pictured above is our boys playing around! They are doing great in their studies and love God in a real way... its beautiful to watch them pray to our Father! Until next time...
All your boys are beautiful! thank you for giving up so much for them- praying for all of you AS ALWAYS!!!
