Outside the walls...

We visited our land yesterday, as Isai showed Audrey (our director) and I all the amazing progress that is being made. As the fence is nearing its finish I am in awe at the excellence in which it was done. A fence helps with security and also minimizes the amount of people on our land among all the building materials as there are many desperate people among us, some who often steal just to survive. As I approached the fence, I saw all our little neighbors that live around our land in Bukeye, outside the walls...

Outside the walls, there is hunger, there is desperation, there is deep poverty, witch craft, pain, suffering and hopelessness. Outside the walls. There are children dying of preventable sicknesses, people lacking because of lack of knowledge and a grown dependency, there is a community that is in need and more importantly searching for a hope. God has made a way for them, outside the walls... God has heard their cries. It's not a religious sense of "The Almighty God loves the poor and so on"... it's a loving Father that has seen the suffering of His people and wants to help them and give them a hope for the future. Real people, suffering in real ways.

I am so excited beyond words at the opportunities so many people will have through The Village of Jeremiah 29:11. As we are beginning to build homes for children, and in the future a clinic and trade school. I'm in awe at how God orchestrated all things, just to help these people that are so dear to His heart. We are but instruments, along with many others who are joined in this mission with us to give them a hope for the future. God loves His people, outside the walls... Until next time...
