Busy times... Many updates... ENJOY!

We have had a busy last two weeks and unfortunately haven't been able to update you all as much as we had wanted! We have some very good news... we are pregnant and expecting our child in May 2010. When you think of us please pray for us and know that we appreciate it all. I recently had the most wonderful opportunity to visit a Mother Theresa Orphanage in the mountains for a few days in preparation to care for malnutritioned children and to learn more of the culture in caring for children. A friend and I joined all the workers in caring for the children while also were advised and learned many things. There are currently over 90 children there under age 3. For those that can't get an image of this in their mind, that's a lot of cloth diaper changing, stuffy noses, and crying children just wanting your attention and love at all times. :o) I also was given the opportunity to help care for twins that were born premature and then afterwards the mother passes away. The boy was just over 4 pounds and the girl just over 2 pounds. It was an experience I will never forget as I held the little girl in my one hand and fed her as it took all her strength and might to suck the bottle. I even changed her cloth diaper after a bath and I remember thinking how fragile she was and how I didn't want to hurt her as she was just skin and bones. We are nearing our financial goal in being able to purchase transportation for the organization. We thank all of you that have sown in this area and appreciate all who have it in their heart to help us reach this goal! We can't do it with out you... but all of together... we can make a difference. We miss you all greatly and are happy to be laboring in this work together with your support and your hearts - for the children. (Pictured above is one of the little girls that latched on and followed us as we walked through the village greeting the families; she was just so curious!) Until next time...
