It's now about that time for us to return home sweet home... Our house is up in the mountains in the providence Muramsvya about 1 hour 15 minutes from the city. We look forward to returning to our friends, to the people and to the need... we are yearning to making a difference in the lives of the forgotten children. As soon as we arrive, we will continue the process of recieveing the acceptance from Forgien Affairs and the government. Soon after acceptance... to then begin doing what we purposed in our hearts to do: taking in and caring for the forgotten children of Burundi. How our hearts long to give them love, affection, truth and an environment to flourish & grow as we would have done for our very own that we have lost along our journey. Our hearts were moved at the amount of people that have chosen to respond to the cries of the child and make this dream their own. We cannot do this with out you! We are currently raising $50,000 to fund Phase 1 and have raised $8,000 as of July. When we leave, we will still be raising awareness and sponsorship towards our finacial goals as the needs are huge and we need the help of many. Please continue to support us in your prayers, time & finances knowing that you are impacting a child and more so village one child at a time.
Fun Fact: Our water supply at our house currently comes 1 hour out of the week in the middle of the night! To get water, we go down to "The Source"... (The source is a mountain spring that you will find when you drive 1 miles and then walk approx. 1/4 mile down the side of the clay based mountain. Then to carry the water back up the mountain in buckets or containers...) How we appreciate when it RAINS!
